Solar and Celestial Observation Filters

Solar and Celestial Observation Filters
Solar Observation Filters from Andover Corporation are designed for safe and detailed viewing of solar phenomena. These precision optical filters are engineered to isolate specific wavelengths of light emitted by the sun, making them ideal for research, imaging, and educational applications.
Our H-Alpha filters isolate the 656.28 nm hydrogen-alpha emission line, revealing solar surface activity such as prominences, flares, and filaments with high contrast and clarity. These filters are commonly used in both professional observatories and amateur setups for solar astronomy.
ClearSky filters are designed to reduce skyglow and improve contrast during solar and daytime observations, particularly in urban or light-polluted areas. By blocking specific wavelengths of scattered light, they enhance visibility of solar disk features and increase image quality in challenging conditions.
Each solar observation filter is manufactured in-house with strict quality controls to ensure optimal wavelength precision, blocking performance, and optical durability. Custom sizes and mounting options are available on request.
