First-surface UV Filters
First-surface UV filters represent Andover's specialized approach to UV optical bandpass filtration, featuring precision coating deposition on a single surface of UV-Grade Fused Silica or UV Filter Glass substrates.
Unlike traditional UV filters, this design places all filtering elements on the exterior surface, maximizing transmission efficiency while minimizing internal reflections and light scatter.
These filters incorporate a protective hard-oxide overcoat, providing exceptional durability against environmental factors and normal handling.
The unique single-surface design, combined with premium substrate materials and advanced coating technology, delivers superior UV wavelength isolation while maintaining excellent out-of-band rejection.
This makes them particularly well-suited for applications requiring precise UV light control, such as sterilization systems and environmental monitoring, where reliability and performance are critical.
